2023-2025: 10 NEW SCHOOLS IN JUMLA, NEPAL

A new Nature Planet project aims to build 10 new earthquake-resistant schools in Jumla – one of the poorest and most marginalized districts located in western Nepal. The project will improve the entire school environment and ensure earthquake resilient school buildings as well as inclusive quality education for all children in the concerned communities, especially girls. The project will improve the physical facilities accessible for the children at 10 primary schools including classrooms, separate toilets for girls and boys, as well as implementing secure water supply, sanitary health, and menstrual health facilities.

2020-2022: A GOOD LIFE FOR CHILDREN IN MACKWANPUR, NEPAL

Donations from Nature Planet ensured a new generation of more healthy and safe children in the Mackwanpur District in Nepal. A total of 2.000 families including 4.928 children under five years have been reached directly. Mothers and fathers were educated in basic child care, nutrition and positive parenting to create healthy, violence free and gender equal families. And community health workers were trained to make the efforts sustainable. All children under five were screened and the project established a model for parenting groups in the communities engaging also fathers. This has had such a positive impact on the communities that the local government aims to continue and even expand the education of healthy parenting.

2013-2021: FREEDOM FOR SLAVE GIRLS IN NEPAL

Nature Planet supported a project to end the local kamalari house slave practice in western Nepal – a total of 4.000 girls have been freed and supported with scholarships and livelihood since the project started.
In 2020-2021 during the covid-19 pandemic Nature Planet supported a group of 11 former slave girls with new school bags, uniforms and books as well as scholarships for private education and tuition during the lockdown

2017-2019: NEW SCHOOL, HEALTH POST & BIRTHING CENTER IN JUMLA, NEPAL

Nature Planet improved education and health for an entire community in Nepal by donating a new school, a new health post and a new birthing center including toilets and access to clean water and electricity by solar power.
